Microsoft Works

Some of our users have reported difficulties opening their monthly summary using Microsoft Works spread sheet. If you are having problems, try the following:

  • Click the link we sent in your monthly summary email.
  • Right-click the spread sheet icon then click "Save Target As...".

  • A "Save As" window should open.  Ensure "Save in" is set to "Desktop" then click the "Save" button.

  • Next, close all the windows you have open. You should see the file has been saved to your desktop.  Right-click the saved file.  Click "Open With -> Choose Program...".

  • An "Open With" window should open.  We've clicked Microsoft Office Word in our example, but you need to click Microsoft Works Spreadsheet then click the "OK" button.
    Click the application you want to use
  • Microsoft Works will open the file for you.
